Platform Guide
Below you’ll learn how to place, manage, and close trades directly inside your TradingView chart.
1. Open the Trade panel
Action | What happens |
---|---|
Click Trade on the top toolbar | Right sidebar opens with empty fields. |
Draw a Risk/Reward tool → right‑click → Trade | Sidebar opens pre‑filled with prices from the tool (only Volume blank). |
2. Fill in your order
Field | Description |
---|---|
Volume | Position size in lots |
Side | Buy or Sell |
Type | Market or Limit |
Entry Price | Price at which the position will open (current market price for Market order) |
Stop Loss | Price level at which the trade will automatically close to limit losses |
Take Profit | Target price to exit the trade |
Press Buy or Sell — your order is instantly sent to MetaTrader.
Tip : Use the Risk/Reward tool first — pricing auto‑fills and you only set Volume.
3. Track your positions
A bottom panel lists every order and position:

Side | Buy or Sell |
Volume | Position size in lots |
Entry Price | Price at which the position was opened, or at which it will open |
Stop Loss | Price level at which the trade will automatically close to limit losses |
Take Profit | Target price to exit the trade |
P&L | Real-time profit or loss |
Time | Time the trade was executed (or will be, for pending orders) |
Status | Pending (order) or Active (position) |
4. Modify an order or position
- Click the Modify icon next to the order or position.
- The sidebar will reopen, automatically pre-filled with current values.
- Update your Stop Loss or Take Profit → hit Modify to instantly sync changes to MetaTrader.
5. Close positions or orders
Scenario | Action |
---|---|
Pending order | Click Close icon → order cancels immediately. |
Open position | Click Close icon → choose percentage or lot size, or 100 % to flatten. |
All trades use your broker’s exact price feed — goodbye slippage surprises.
