Below you’ll learn how to place, manage, and close trades directly inside your TradingView chart.


1. Open the Trade panel

Click Trade on the top toolbarRight sidebar opens with empty fields.
Draw a Risk/Reward tool → right‑click → TradeSidebar opens pre‑filled with prices from the tool (only Volume blank).

2. Fill in your order

Entry PricePrice at which the position will open (current market price for Market order)
Stop LossPrice level at which the trade will automatically close to limit losses
Take ProfitTarget price to exit the trade

Press Buy or Sell — your order is instantly sent to MetaTrader.

Tip : Use the Risk/Reward tool first — pricing auto‑fills and you only set Volume.


3. Track your positions

A bottom panel lists every order and position:

4. Modify an order or position

  1. Click the Modify icon next to the order or position.
  2. The sidebar will reopen, automatically pre-filled with current values.
  3. Update your Stop Loss or Take Profit → hit Modify to instantly sync changes to MetaTrader.

5. Close positions or orders

Open positionClick Close icon → choose percentage or lot size, or 100 % to flatten.

All trades use your broker’s exact price feed — goodbye slippage surprises.
